SCHOOL OF DANCE AND CULTURE
Founded in 2022, Seben Dance is a platform that celebrates diversity, communities and culture. Offering African dance to the community of west Michigan, the motive of this is for our community to develop a greater understanding and awareness of several traditional dances in Africa. Also understand the difference between modern and traditional African dance styles, our student will be able to identify the geographical and ethnic regions associated with specific dances

Our Performance members have been showcasing their talent on prominent stages before large audiences. We have participated annually in events such as the Grand Rapids Dance Festival, Grand Valley State University, as well as the African Festival and a Christmas concert for a nonprofit organization. Additionally, our performances have extended to various universities, Weddings, other nonprofit events, and professional gatherings in healthcare settings such as Corewellheath Hospital

We offer a wide range of dance lessons, carefully curated to introduce our students to the richness and beauty of various cultures. From tribal dances like Mutuashi to more contemporary dance styles like Kwassa-Kwassa, and everything in between. Our expert dance instructors will guide you through each step and help you learn the unique rhythms and styles of each dance. We provide a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment for exercise, where everyone can come together to learn, share and maintain our physical health.
